About my firm

My firm has been in the same convenient location in downtown Barrie since 1972. If necessary, I have a ground floor entrance available.

I am a sole practitioner carrying on the name of Livingston, Myers, the law firm my father Edwin J. Myers opened in 1954 together with John Livingston, Q.C.



I graduated from Eastview Secondary School here in Barrie in 1975 and received a Bachelor of Arts (English) from Trent University in 1979. I studied law at the University of Windsor and was called to the Bar in 1984.

Over the past 38 years I have helped hundreds of first-time home buyers through the exciting and intricate process of obtaining their first home. The greatest compliment is when they return to sell and purchase their next homes.

My practice also includes assisting executors with estate administration. I know that this can be stressful and often emotional work. I and my staff will guide executors through this process with care and sensitivity to the needs of each situation. 

I am especially proud to be helping second and third generations of families with their real estate and wills and estate needs.

When I am not being a lawyer, my interests include growing tomatoes, tinkering, and fixing problems where I can.

My fee to you for my work will be reasonable and fair, based upon skill, urgency and importance to you.

I will take the time to provide you with a sound estimate of my fees and expenses.
